Shaunda Wenger
Shaunda WengerAfter receiving her B.S. from the University of Vermont in Environmental and Social Sciences (with a minor in chemistry), Shaunda did what she always knew she would do–pack her bags and head west. Her travels took her to Iowa, Utah, Colorado, and a few other states in-between. Within five years of having finished school in Vermont, she earned her M.S. from Colorado State University in Fisheries and Wildlife Biology. Utah drew her back, and Shaunda spent the next several years consulting on environmental and development projects while raising a family with her husband. In recent years, she has found her way back into the classroom to pursue a love for teaching. At LRA, she teaches Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. She enjoys different activities throughout the seasons and spends quiet time writing and reading. Some of her published books are used in the educational market for elementary levels.

Carly Palacios
Carly Palacios received her B.S. from Utah State University with a major in English Teaching and a minor in psychology. While attending Utah State, Carly moved to Seattle for a time. After experiencing the “city life,” Carly enjoys the quiet, small-town feel that Logan offers and feels that this calm atmosphere is beneficial to the students who come to LRA. Carly has taught various subjects and ages—from elementary school chess class to high school life skills—and she really enjoys working with teenagers, who constantly keep her on her toes and make her laugh. Carly’s favorite things to teach in her English classes are novels. She especially loves showing students how literature can connect with their lives, even if it was written a hundred years ago. Carly and her husband Danny have two little girls. Carly’s hobbies include reading, skateboarding, crocheting, knitting, and sewing; as well as spending time with her husband and daughters.

Michelle Bishop
Michelle Bishop teaches Geometry and Algebra II classes. She received her B.S. from Utah State University with a Mathematics/Statistics composite major. She has traveled many places and hopes to continue that through her life with her husband. Michelle loves teaching and helping students have success in math.

Kynzie Kelley
Kynzie received her B.S. degree in Special Education with an emphasis in mild to moderate disabilities from Utah State University. They enjoy all that Logan has to offer. Kynzie also teaches dance in the evenings at a local dance studio. She enjoys working with teenagers during the day and younger dancers in the evenings; it’s the best of both worlds.
