Residential Services

The residential program functions in a “boundary model” using staff to model appropriate behavior and be involved in directly assisting students. The boundary structure addresses the difficulty and frustrations students have in living in a system of rules and structure. Clinical Services

Our philosophy includes a variety of treatment modalities utilized to help each student achieve a higher level of functioning, to diminish symptoms, and to help students become productive members of their families and communities. Our approach is to utilize the most appropriate modalities for each student and family given their individual circumstances. Rather than limit our clinical staff to one treatment approach or philosophy, we will utilize the most effective and appropriate treatment strategy to obtain optimal results. Each student will receive quality care addressing their individual and family needs. Modalities utilized include individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and behavior therapy. In addition, medications may be utilized when appropriate to enhance treatment and reduce symptoms. We use a multi-disciplinary team approach which involves therapists, recreational therapists, teachers, residential staff, psychiatrists, and nurses. Academic Services

Educational services are provided to all students admitted to Logan River Academy. Regular Academy classes are held year-round, Monday through Friday of each week, with the exception of major holidays and inter-session weeks following each semester. Each school day consists of eight periods. Students are enrolled in six classes, a study hall, and a lunch period. Excellently Structured Living

The programs offered at Logan River Academy are handled by an experienced team of therapists, teachers, and counselors. Our goal is to make a positive impact on the lives of the students and their families through education, therapy, and extracurricular activities.

In addition to a fully accredited education program, students can enjoy studying in a state of the art building and residing in large, comfortable dormitories. Students can also enjoy a large recreation field, a sand volleyball court, and an outdoor basketball court.
